On June 27, 2015, a team of community engagement coordinators and youth ambassadors staffed a booth at the Juneteenth Festival located on Brockhurst between Market Street and San Pablo Avenue. This team shared information about the Central Kitchen, Instructional Farm, and Education Center project and surveyed community members willing to provide their input on the project. Nutrition Services staff provided samples from the California Thursdays school lunch menu.
